FOOD SECURITY OF THE COUNTRY IN CONDITIONS OF UNSTABLE EXTERNAL ENVIRONMENT
Аннотация
This article explores methods for measuring food security, covering both global and regional contexts. It highlights the contribution of leading international organisations in support of food security at the global and national levels. By analysing different indicators, the authors propose the hypothesis that there are common approaches to food security in different countries, highlighting the lack of a universal concept that would unify these indicators into a single system.
In the context of continued growth of the world's population, the need to strengthen innovative approaches to improve the efficiency of the agricultural sector becomes evident. This includes optimising global food value chains, minimising food loss and waste, and ensuring access to food for all who suffer from hunger and malnutrition. Many actors in the international community support the idea that hunger can be solved for future generations and are working together to achieve this ambitious goal.
Additionally, it's worth pointing out that coordinated action at all levels, from local to international, is critical to achieving global food security. In this context, the role of technology and innovation becomes even more important, including the development of sustainable agro-technologies, improved processing and storage methods, and the adoption of digital technologies to anticipate and manage risks in the agricultural sector. Joint efforts at the international level, including the sharing of knowledge and best practices, are key to building a sustainable and inclusive food security system capable of meeting the challenges of the future.
There was a need for productivity agricultural systems worldwide and to reduce the generation of agricultural waste. Restorative agricultural practices must be holistically and comprehensively implemented and food systems, including both food production and consumption, must be restorative.
