THE PRIORITIES OF WOMEN-LED BUSINESSES IN THE ECONOMY OF KAZAKHSTAN
Аннотация
In this article, the authors analyze the specifics of female entrepreneurship as a distinct phenomenon gaining momentum in the modern world. Women increasingly aspire to self-realization and economic independence, with entrepreneurship emerging as one of the strategies to achieve these goals. The article examines the key characteristics of women's labor in Kazakhstan, utilizing gender statistical data to explore the representation of women in the Kazakh labor market, the income levels of women and men, the number of female executives and female entrepreneurs, and the regional specifics of labor.
The authors also propose to consider the results of a survey of female students majoring in economics at Kazakhstani universities. The survey revealed the level of preparedness of these young women for entrepreneurship. The collected data demonstrate that Kazakhstani girls do not perceive the presence of gender inequality in both the labor market and business. They do not take into account the lack of equal starting opportunities, the presence of institutional constraints on business activities, and gender stereotypes that limit the scale of female entrepreneurship in the country. It is crucial to note that the surveyed girls are willing to combine business activities with household chores, considering such a combination as organic and essential for Kazakhstani women, with family priorities outweighing business.
